Mt. Rainier from the Sunset section of the park.. the trails were all covered in snow so I was not able to hike much around the summit. But there was a lovely meadow at the summit filled with families of deer, which were very habituated to humans and wouldn’t think twice about walking through a peoples picnic

Olympic Peninsula – June

Hoh Rainforest – Olympic National Park
Hall of Mosses Trail in the Hoh Rainforest- Olympic National Park – took this right before I stumbled upon a big brown bear butt in the middle of the trail
The night before I moved into the bunkhouse in Skykomish, I spent the night in Sequim (Olympic Peninsula). I stumbled upon this wonderful Japanese Friendship Garden tucked away in the middle of town. Perfect reading and meditation spot.

18 miles of vibrant green gullies covered in ferns and alders, bustling with butterflies and dragonflies, towering talus piles, countless stream crossings, grueling uphill segments, rewarded by glimpses of the snow-covered buttes in the distance
